The title says it all, doesn’t it?

Here is a list of things I watch weekly. Feel free to poke fun at.

Heroes(Series 1), Sci-Fi UK: Next week’s the finale for us in the UK. “How To Stop an Exploding Man”. Best name ever.
The Unit, Bravo: Also bowing out THIS week. Sadly have to wait till Saturday to watch the finale.
My Name Is Earl, Channel 4: Series 2, and he’s still got a LOT of things to do. I just love this show, mostly for his brother Randy(Many times he does a Bart Simpson(AKA, touching a muffin and getting electrified, and keeps trying to get the muffin), and because of the theme tune. If you have this, PLEASE SEND IT TO ME!
Brothers and Sisters, Channel 4: New series, only on episode 4. Looks good.
Neighbours, BBC One(Next Year: Five): Okay, this isn’t EXACTLY weekly, but it’s weekdaily, which is nearly the same as weekly, right?

0. Big Brother: Mock me all you want for watching this, but I like it, kay?

Kingdom Of Loathing. Probably the biggest satirical yet professional(ish) RPG since…erm…

Has there even been a RPG with pasta spoon wielding, sauce-sphere toting, seal clubbing, turtle taming, Accordion thievery and Disco Bandit-ing?

Probably not.

Either way. Awesome. You should all have a go.

There is not a single unified logo for any kind of puzzle. Books are always a picture of a book. Movies is a picture of a film can. TV is a…TV. Why is there no logo that is a synonym of puzzle? I wonder if anyone has ever tried to make one.

Some of ye who hang out in #perplexorum will know I’m looking for people to be in a Puppetmaster team. It does not matter if you have not puppetmastered before, or if you failed and imploded one once.(I feel your pain)

Skills wanted are preferably.. Well. Anything. The team’s only got me so far, and I’m handling some of the plot and puzzles!

The Big Weekend event was well enjoyed, and Perplex City Stories Season 2 looked like to be a great thing.

Then Perplex City Stories.com updates.

To go past all the word-wrangling, they have basically said Perplex City Stories is cancelled for a long long while.

Booo.

I think this sums up the community’s feeling on this.

Eric Harshbarger has gone on to his own little project called Alice Is Lost(.com), and we don’t know what the rest of Mind Candy is doing.

BT. ~~Microsith~~ Microsoft. Google. Yahoo!. Virgin. Erm, Did I mention Microsoft? Lately, most big names are buying more and more different stuff. One day, Virgin bought into NTL Telewest, and took up their television services. Then, BT goes into television providing as well. Yahoo, Microsoft and Google seem to be fighting over who has the best search engine, and BT refuses to give me broadband.

I think they are all trying to take over the world. They are branching out into so much stuff. Google first gets Google Mail, and then Google Talk, and now something called iGoogle.

Yahoo! has so much stuff in one website, it’s threatening to explode and spray the internet with Yahooligans, Yahoo email, Flickr and Geocities.

Microsoft controls the biggest selling OS, plus MSN, Windows Live Search, Hotmail and others.

Virgin, has an online supershop, a phone network, and now a television network.

BT, controls most telephone lines in the UK. Now it’s delving into the world of television.

They are slowly more and more doing a lot of stuff. Soon, we won’t be able to move for Google/Microsoft/BT/Virgin/Yahoo! brandnames. Who knows? Maybe Earth will be renamed MicroEarth or something stupid.

Accursed corporations.

Edit: skenmy, who is the System Administrator at www.appliedirc.com, informs me that Microsoft has recently bought out an ad company. See what I mean?

Perplex City Stories: Big Meltdown at the Big Weekend!

Perplex City Stories started with a bang some time last week. Or more correctly, a drip.

Violet, in her new blog www.violetunderground.com, has become a bit of a famous sleuth. Probably akin to Sherlock Holmes. Eitherway, the first thing she asked us to do is… find the drip. Via looking over lots and lots of plans. I took no part in it.

Then she asked us to do another menial task. Find out how slow Perplex City Post is for a friend in the Academy. In the first few days of the new blog, it looked…kinda slow and boring.

Then something new comes. Apolyton Institute has had a project of theirs stolen by the 3P, under a sekrit cool alias, Silburn-Griggs Mines. http://www.silburngriggsmining.com/

Obviously this is not all as it seems. Via going to the About Us part of the website, and clicking 3 normal words, “Frozen Indigo Angel”, you are taken to a mysterious kingdom. Or maybe just the hub of the 3P’s activities this dangerous plot

Meanwhile, a man who worked for the BBC till recently called Paul Denchfield has uncovered something to do about this mysterious project.

All of the information, puzzles and solve add up to one thing: The 3P are going to do a neural override of all the brains at the Big Weekend, with the trigger words “Frozen Indigo Angel”. AKA, Make the Big Weekend the big Meltdown.

Submachine 4. Or maybe I should call it Submachyne?

I have not yet written on here about the great game that is Submachine. or should i say great games? Created by Mateusz Skutnik, these games are in the vibe of the Myst games by Cyan Worlds(Now in a collection called “Myst: The Collection”)

The story picks up where Submachine 3: The Loop ends. You have escaped The Loop, and you are teleported to where the Lab is, or somewhere near it. As it happens, you arrive.. on the roof.

Yet again, Mateusz Skutnik’s expert actionscript, puzzles and plot blend the game into lovelyness. As Homestar said to the contestants in the Pumpkin Carving contest, First prize!
